Casual Dinner

Tonight after my husband got off of work we decided to go out for dinner. Which gave me the perfect excuse to use my new camera to shoot some outfit pics.

Midwest Clinic Trip

I know, I know I had promised to post tons of outfit pictures during my trip to Chicago. Unfortunately, I had no time to take the photos and the lighting in my hotel room was terrible. So to make up for this travesty here are some pictures from the trip. I have smudged out students' faces for safety and legal purposes.

I just couldn't wait to wear my new clothes that I got yesterday. It was such a nice day that I couldn't resist even though I'm wearing white after Labor Day. I received so many compliments on my outfit that I knew I had to share it with all of you.

The tunic and trousers I got yesterday from Nordstrom Rack. The tunic is by Lush and the trousers are by Amanda + Chelsea.

I paired them with these leopard print flats by Steve Madden that I got at DSW. They added some much needed interest to this look.

My finishing touch was this necklace from Modcloth. I have been waiting for a chance to wear it after my parents gave it to me at Thanksgiving as an early Christmas present since I wouldn't be home for Christmas.

Nordstrom Rack Haul

I went to Nordstrom Rack after work to pick up a new pair of jeans that I needed before my trip to Chicago. However, I can not go into Nordstrom Rack without perusing the clearance section. I am so glad I did because not only did I find my favorite brand of jeans on clearance but I also walked away with a few more goodies.

I absolutely love this white tunic by Lush and it was a steal at only $14! I have been looking for a white shirt that was more than just a plain white shirt and this one is perfect!

I was not sure about this grey sweatshirt by Valette when I first saw it, but,  I decided to try it on anyways. I am so glad that I did because it is so comfortable and on the plus side it has some detailing on the sleeves so I won't feel too frumpy when I wear it.  This teacher budget friendly item only cost me $15.

Next I found these black trousers and whenever I find black trousers in my size on sale I always try them on. These trousers fit me perfectly and they fit like jeans which is a huge plus for me. These Amanda + Chelsea trousers were a fashion bargain at $30!

I also bought a Stephen & Co. necklace. It is a layered silver necklace with a faux blue agate pendant.  Unfortunately after several attempts I was unable to take a good close up of the necklace. I'm still saving up for a nice DSLR camera and that takes a while on a teacher's budget. Anyways even though the necklace was not on sale it only cost $10.

Finally for the best find of the day. After pulling several pairs of Paige Denim jeans that were not on sale to try on I was going through the clearance rack and found this pair! I was so excited because I really didn't want to drop $80 on jeans. But when it comes to Paige Denim even $80 is a steal. This pair was only $45! Yes you read that right and they fit like a dream they were exactly what I was looking for.

Goody QUIKSTYLE Product Review

I stumbled upon the brush at Target for $12 and decided to try it out. My hair takes forever to dry so I thought I would give this brush a shot. 

Finally a day off! I've been working a lot lately getting ready for the two concerts we performed last night at school. Fortunately they both went great and my students performed fantastically.Today I spent the day shopping with my husband but unfortunately nothing caught my eye. However I did have a great lunch at my favorite Houston restaurant Torchy's Tacos.

I love this outfit mostly because of the color combination. The burgundy in the jacket paired with the green bag and taupe boots really worked well together. Even though these boots have heels they are so comfortable to walk in. I wore them all day pain free.

The jeans are Paige Denim and the top is from Soprano. My First Post

This is my first blog post so bare with me. I wore this outfit on my trip home for Thanksgiving. I love how comfortable the jeans are and the shirt does not wrinkle when packed. I purchased the necklace After my arrival at T. J. Maxx. I have been looking for this particular necklace for a while so I was very excited to find it.
