Bell Sleeves

One of my new favorite trends right now is bell sleeves. They are very reminiscent of the peasant sleeves from the early 2000s. However I love this modern twist. The new trend boasts a fitted sleeve all the way up to the flare instead of gradually flaring like the peasant sleeves of the past.

This trend comes in several different sleeve lengths but the length of these sleeves is definitely my favorite. I paired this cute top from Modcloth with white skinnies, pastel bracelets, a cute pink bag and simple heels.

Waltzing in Watercolors

The other day I got to do a photoshoot at the Sugar & Cloth Color Wall. It was so much fun posing in front of all the pretty colors. This was definitely one of my favorite outfits from the shoot. I love the floral watercolor print on the skirt. The skirt is from Banana Republic and is currently on clearance! When I saw it I knew I absolutely had to have it. Not only is it just stunning but it is also extremely soft and the length is work appropriate.

I paired the skirt with a pink top and the same blue fringe heels from my last post both from Banana Republic. I donned my favorite cat eye sunglasses mostly because the sun was shining directly in my face and second because they are super chic. For jewelry I decided to go with minimal jewelry and wore a simple silver bracelet and monogram necklace.

Dancing in My Blue Suede Shoes

Banana Republic recently had a great sale and I took full advantage! I got both this amazing skirt and fun blue fringe heels. I paired them with this simple pink top from Ann Taylor and minimal gold jewelry.

This skirt is a great length for Spring and Summer here in Houston. Plus the fabric is so light and soft. This outfit is perfect for any weekend outing.

Lovely Lace Dress

I got this dress to wear for my 2 year anniversary dinner with my husband. The moment I saw the "Purely and Symphony" dress online at Modcloth.com I knew I had to have it. I mean just look at the back and you'll see why.

Upon receiving the dress I was even more blown away at the quality of the lace and lining. I usually don't wear a lot of lace because it causes my drier skin to itch but this one was so comfortable and soft.

I will let you know that for this dress you will need one of those backless strapless bras with the sticky stuff on the side because there is no lining on the back. Which is one reason why it is so beautiful. I thought the bra would bother me also but it really didn't I got one by Maidenform it it worked really well.

I paired this dress with simple gold jewelry and neutral heels so as not to distract from the dress. The bracelet I am wearing is by Bangle Bear and is one of those hair tie bracelets like we've all seen on pinterest. However, instead of paying like $50 for one like the one you've seen on pinterest I got three (gold, silver, and rose gold) for $30 from Bangle Bear.

Dressing Your "Vest"

I love, love, LOVE vests! They are a great way to add structure to an outfit without the added bulk of sleeves. Vests are also the perfect transitional piece between Winter and Spring. I particularly like this vest because of it's structure and its nice enough that I can also wear it to work.

I paired this vest from the Banana Republic Factory Store (Get yours here http://tinyurl.com/zgajxr3 bonus it's 50% off) with a red sleeveless tank from the Ann Taylor outlet and Paige Denim jeans.  I finished the look off with some awesome tassel heels from Steve Madden and simple gold jewelry. All the items in this outfit were either bought on sale or from an affordable clothing store like T.J Maxx and Nordstrom Rack making it super affordable.

Black, White and Rad All Over

Who says that wearing black and white is boring. I think it looks stylish and sophisticated. I really enjoyed putting this outfit together. This dress from shopthemint.com is so soft and comfortable. I paired it with some simple silver jewelry and these killer heels that I got at Steve Madden on sale. I finished the look with a Kate Spade bag in a contrasting print. This look is perfect for a weekend brunch or shopping adventure.

Floral Frock

Spring is here and as usual floral dresses are everywhere. I absolutely love floral prints so as soon as Spring rolls around I wear as many floral prints as possible. I really like the big bold floral prints much more than the small and tiny floral prints.

I found this beautiful dress at Nordstrom Rack and I love how effortlessly chic it makes me feel. This is the type of dress you can throw on without hardly any accessories and feel totally put together. My favorite part of the dress is the faux lace up detail on the neckline. All I had to do to finish this look was throw on some adorable black wedges and I was on my way.
