As many of you know my husband and I had started looking at some houses to buy for our first home. Well we have had to suspend our search temporarily while my husband finds a job closer to where we want to live. As we were searching for homes we kept calculating how long it would take him to get to work and the times were just too much and I couldn't ask him to drive that far just so I could have a house. On top of that our apartment lease is up so we are having to renew for a whole 12 month period which could delay our home buying plans even further. I guess I will have to deal with apartment living a little while longer.

How to be the Best Dressed Wedding Guest
Wedding season is upon us and it seems like there is a wedding every other weekend. And if you are like me you have a hard time deciding what to wear. I am constantly thinking "Will I be comfortable in this?" "Is this outfit appropriate for the location?" "Can I dance in this outfit?"

What I Wore: Houston Symphony Edition
I recently had the opportunity to go see a Houston Symphony concert with some coworkers. While I was there I noticed that there were several people who had no idea how to dress for the occasion.

The Denim Trifecta!
I am obsessed with denim looks. I think they look so cool and chic right now. Denim looks come in every kind of style they can be feminine and flirty or glamorous or edgy. I prefer the edgier style. You may remember a post I did about how to wear denim on denim (view here) and well for this look I am wearing denim on denim on denim. That's right the denim trifecta!

1 Shirt 3 Looks
I recently purchased this cute, retro shirt from Modcloth (shop it here) and I absolutely love it. What I really love is how versatile it is and can easily go with just about anything. So today I am going to show you three different looks using this top.

Sunday Funday
Today my husband and I spent the whole day touring open houses. That's right we are in the very early beginning stages of possibly purchasing our first home. I am so ready to get out of apartment living I just can't stand it. We saw some gorgeous houses today and also some very interesting houses. My must haves for the new house are a large kitchen, dual vanity in the master bath, a pool in the back yard and of course most important for a fashion blogger is ample closet space. What are some of your must haves or wants for your dream home? Please share in the comment section below.

Finding Dory
I know I haven't posted much this week but after taking photos on Tuesday that ended coming out awful I decided that instead of posting terrible posts I would just wait until I could reshoot the pictures.
Today was a very fun day for me. First off I got my hair done. It's back to being closer to my natural color now instead of the red. My husband took me out to dinner at Flemings Steakhouse and then we went and saw the movie Finding Dory. Yes that's right two grown adults with no kids went to go see a children's movie and guess what we loved every second of it.

Playing Dress Up
Some days I like to dress up just for fun. I mean dressing up is fun right so why don't we do it more often. Who says we need a reason to dress up why don't we do it just because it makes us feel great. In fact, when you wake up and you just don't feel good dressing up can actually change your mood.

Enjoying Summer Break
It has been so nice having some time off this summer. I have been able to get so much done. Plus I have also been able to shoot my outfits at different locations instead of shooting them from home. I look forward to sharing a lot more tutorials, tips and tricks, diys, and current trends during this break. If you have something that you would like to see me talk about or do please leave your suggestion in the comments below.

Magnolia Market Fashion
Last week I got the chance to visit Magnolia Market in Waco, Texas with my aunt and my mother. It was so much fun, we shopped in the shop that was of course extremely crowded and then got lunch outside at the food trucks. The only purchase I made that day was this extremely soft baseball tee with the Magnolia Market seal on it.

Flamingo Fever
I am totally obsessed with all things flamingo at the moment. I mean I seriously just can't get enough. Fortunately for me there is no shortage of flamingo print items to choose from on the market at the moment.

Paisley in the Park
I feel so pretty when I wear this dress! I absolutely love wearing it! Not only is it super comfortable but it's also so cute and unique. I think the sleeves are my favorite part they are just so flowy and interesting.

Popsicles On Parade
This dress is quickly becoming on of my favorite dresses. Plus it is the perfect style and has the perfect print for Summer. I love that it is fitted down to your natural waist and then flairs out. I think that this silhouette is one of the most flattering and feminine of them all.
I have already worn this dress a couple of times since purchasing it at my Modcloth IRL appointment (view my post about my appointment here). I have paired it with a white denim jacket and a soft pin cardigan. On a bit of a side note when wearing this style of dress you will want to make sure that your cardigan is not too long or it will look odd. In fact I wouldn't wear one that falls more than just slightly over the top of you hips. However for this post I wore the dress without anything covering the top so you could really see the whole thing. I paired this dress with simple jewelry and my white heels.

Keeping it Casual
My mom and my aunt are in town and today we are going shopping. Which of course is like my favorite thing to do. So today I am keeping my outfit pretty casual.
Today I am wearing this fun top from Modcloth (shop it here). I especially love how interesting the back of this top is I mean it is really cool. The distressed jeans are also from Modcloth (shop them here). I purchased both of these pieces at my IRL appointment (view my post about my experience here). The shoes are just some simple white heels from DSW (shop them here). I completed my outfit with some simple silver jewelry.

Simple Elegance
So as I've said before I am loving all of the gorgeous styles of "off the shoulder" looks this season. This red top is no exception. I love it and it comes in several different colors (shop this here). I paired this fun top with some wide leg, cropped, denim pants from Zara. These are sold out but similar styles are popping up everywhere. For accessories I decided to go with a black, woven leather belt and white heels. I decided not to wear jewelry in order to keep the outfit simple and elegant.

Holy Moly
"Holy Moly" I can't believe that this is the last week before Summer break starts! It has been a great year with my kiddos and I can't believe it is already almost over. I am already looking forward to seeing what next year will bring. But it is so sad to see my seniors go even though I know they will go on to do great things.
Did I mention that I am so in love with this outfit! I know I say that a lot but this one is definitely going to go down as one of my all time favorites! It is such a fun outfit. Plus it's super comfy which is always a bonus. When I was putting this outfit together I was going for a laid back yet very put together kind of vibe. I think I accomplished that. The skirt and heels make it look like I put effort into it but by adding the graphic tee it gives it kind of an "I just threw this on" feeling.
The skirt is from Modcloth (shop it here). I absolutely love this red color and it has pockets! Did I mention that this skirt is also fully lined? Well it is and at this price point that is amazing it really gives it an expensive feel.
The top is from Banana Republic I've had it for a while so unfortunately I don't have a link for you to buy it from but really any graphic or striped tee will suffice. The shoes are from DSW (shop them here) and they are super comfortable. The clutch and sunglasses are from Forever21 and the jewelry is from Charming Charlies.
This Summer I am looking forward to relaxing by the pool and really throwing myself into my blogging. What are your plans for the Summer? Please share in the comments below.
