Today is a very special day! Why because the Olympics start today! I'm so excited! The Olympics are one of my favorite events. I believe that they really foster camaraderie among a nation even when we might be divided due to our political election coming up this November. Don't worry I will never use my blog as a place to talk about my political opinions. Although I will say this I hate election season because of how divided our nation becomes and how easily we seem to judge others for their opinions. Anyways back to the Olympics my favorite sport to watch is well gymnastics and any of the equine events. In fact when I was just 5 years old my parents took my sister and I to see the final horse jumping competition during the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. It was so cool it is one of the few memories I still have from when I was that young. But you want to know the coolest part? As we were leaving the Olympic park a man approached us and gave us free tickets to the Closing Ceremonies later that day. It is truly a memory I will never forget.

Now for the gorgeous look featured below. Black and white is truly one of the most classic and chic color combinations. They look so great with each other probably because they are polar opposites. I wore a simple black 3/4 length sleeve chiffon blouse with this super versatile white vest from the Banana Republic Factory Store. I paired them with my Paige Denim skinnies, Kate Spade handbag and new Wanted black patent leather oxfords.
BTW: Patent leather oxfords are going to be all the rage this fall.
