It's that time of year again for me. Back to school means back to work. I have been doing some serious work wardrobe shopping the last few weeks with all the amazing back to school sales. So I wanted to share some of my work wear knowledge.
During this series of posts I will be sharing my four favorite new work outfits. I hope you love them all and that you learn some new tricks to amp up your work outfits.
For my first look I chose to wear a very bright and trendy outfit. I paired a white top with a classic black blazer. But to spice it up I chose pink trousers and... silver oxfords.
Here are some tricks to spice up your work outfits:
1. Yes it is okay to wear brightly colored items as long as you tone them down with a few neutrals.
2. Trendy shoes can also work as long as their core style is professional. For example these oxfords work because of their professional style but it's the metallic silver color that makes them trendy. Also it might not be a good idea to wear something like clear plastic stilettos or other non professional types of shoes.
3. If you are uncomfortable with the first two tricks start small by adding small pops of color. Like a colorful bag or a statement necklace.
